The cottages were built in 1903 and are protected under the Heritage Act of South Africa. In 2014, Village n Life became the custodians of Stone Cottages after they went on sale at an auction. Embracing the historical importance, Village n Life maintained most of the original cottages to preserve the charm of this bygone era.
The cottages are located within walking distance of Camps Bay's famous strip, which is jam-packed with restaurants, bars and night life activities. Stone Cottages guests are now afforded the opportunity to experience a unique part of Camps Bay's history while being enjoying a holiday in one of the Capes most desirable locations.

The Studios are small spaces converted into comfortable living places. They are open plan and open up onto exclusive sun decks or patios that boast BBQ stations. Each studio is fitted with a kitchenette or refreshment station that has either a Smeg mini fridge or a mini bar fridge, Morphy Richards kettle and Nespresso machine. These quaint studios look out onto the magnificent Stone Cottages gardens or pool area.
Stone Cottages has four beautifully restored two-bedroom cottages that are situated in the original Stone Cottage buildings. These cottages feature contemporary lifestyle kitchens fitted with Smeg stoves, Bosch fridge/freezer, Morphy Richards appliances and Nespresso machines. The kitchens open up onto exclusive sun decks and boast private BBQ facilities on each deck that look out onto Stones beautiful gardens.
These 3 bedroom Cottages are great for families and friends travelling together as they are spacious and light and are fitted with fully equipped lifestyle kitchens that open up onto exclusive sun decks that are great for family dining occasions. Each kitchen boasts a Smeg stove, Morphy Richards appliances and a Nespresso machine.
Situated amidst the magnificent gardens, the pool is the perfect place for to unwind and soak up some sun. Stone Cottages guests can enjoy exclusive use of the solar heated pool and lounger area.
We understand that in order to live well, sleep well and be well, one has to dine well. For that very reason we have installed BBQ stations at each cottage to allow our guests to feast on a traditional South African braai. Wood is available for your use at an extra cost.
We offer guest the use of a complimentary laundry facility on the property. The facility includes use of the machines only so guest are reminded to take along their own washing powder and fabric softener.
Across the road from Stone Cottages, guest can enjoy the use of a centralized service centre that is open seven days a week, offering a concierge service for tourist information, airport transfers and tours as well as assisting you with any other queries you may have.
Our dedicated and supervised team provides daily (Mon-Sat) refresh service as well as linen and towel change every 5th day. On Sundays and Public holidays, housekeeping can be arranged on request at an extra charge.
The Crystal offers all guests access to the 24 hour Village n Life control room. The control has direct access to the senior management of Village n Life, Embassy or Consulate offices, and other essential and emergency contacts.
